My passion is creating positive opportunities for people to connect. I’m experienced at making people comfortable with getting playful and expressive, so they can let go and enjoy themselves. I believe regular laughter is similar to meditation practice – it’s a way of deliberately creating and strengthening positive connections in the body and mind. I’ve reaped the feel-good effects of this myself and am keen to offer the benefits to others.
I draw on skills and experience gained from working in community/therapeutic arts for over 25 years: originally trained as a dance and movement therapist, I also run singing for wellbeing groups, and was Chair of the national Natural Voice Network for three years. I’ve worked in mental health settings, with older people and people living with chronic health challenges. I often find laughter bubbling up naturally in all my sessions, and have enjoyed getting involved with deliberate laughter facilitation!
I also have experience of running team-building workshops for staff and voluntary groups, and am happy to consider bespoke input to include a laughter element. Do feel free to contact me to explore possibilities.
